Speed missed a penalty and KSI scored an own goal as Sidemen took on YouTube All-Stars in a 13-goal thriller that raised well over £2million for charity at the London Stadium.
The final total raised by the sell-out event stood at £2,425,855million, which will be donated to four different charities – the Teenage Cancer Trust, CALM, M7 Education (the charity run by Sidemen member Miniminter) and Rays of Sunshine. Prime founders KSI and Logan Paul donated £250,000 to the cause themselves.
Manny was arguably the star of the show as Sidemen ran out 8-5 winners. The YouTuber, who boasts over two million subscribers, scored a hat-trick, while Behzinga, Miniminter, TBJZL, Wroetoshaw and Tareq also found themselves on the scoresheet for the winning side. ChrisMD, Chunkz, Max Fosh, and Niko Omilana scored for YouTube All-Stars.
Speed didn’t get himself a goal despite being gifted a golden chance from the penalty spot. KSI saved the spot-kick, which was sent straight down the middle, and he reacted by doing Cristiano Ronaldo’s trademark SIIIUUU celebration in front of Speed.
Sidemen lined up with: KSI, JME, Wroetoshaw, Calfreezy, Lazarbeam, Mr Beast, Behzinga, TBJZL, Zerkaa, Minminter, Vikkstar123, while YouTube All-Stars fielded XQC, Max Fosh, Jidion, Will NE, Danny Aarons, Kai, Filly, Chris MD, Speed, Theo Baker, Niko.
“Amazing what a game, what an atmosphere. Huge thanks to everyone who flew out to play and everyone in the stadium who kept it all running,” Sidemen member Vikkstar123 told Big Zuu after the match.
“All of our team who put together something we could never comprehend and I hear we’ve absolutely smashed target from last year of £1million raised, so we’ll find out later on just how much we’ve raised.”
