SCARECROW SHOWDOWN
Lincoln Square will embrace the excitement of autumn leading up to our 36th annual Apple Fest with our first ever Scarecrow Showdown competition. This festive contest seeks to bring together residents, businesses, and organizations to create captivating scarecrows in the celebration of the season.
Participants have been tasked with creating a unique, impressive, and interactive scarecrow. 50 Streetlight poles along Lincoln Avenue will serve as the perfect canvas for their creations. They've been provided a starter kit and have been encouraged to give their scarecrow a whimsical, spooky, or humorous theme to stand out from the rest.
Scarecrows will be going up on Friday, September 22, voting will begin Monday, September 25! Once all the scarecrows are up, the public is invited to vote for their favorite. We will announce the winner and runners-up in mid-October, with the champion receiving a grand prize.
